KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Geeta Chaudhary, has said that adventure tourism involving motorcycling contributes significantly to the promotion of agriculture, tourism and rural economy.
Inaugurating the ‘Ninth Mango Ride-2026’ organized by ‘The Himalayan Motorcycle Experience’ (THME) in the federal capital on Friday, Minister Chaudhary expressed her belief that such programmes would be beneficial in highlighting the tourism potential of Terai region.
Unlocking tourism potential is linked to spurring activities that contribute to local economy. She, however, stressed youth participation in agriculture for economic growth.
The organizer shared that the digital platforms were effectively advertising Nepali culture, tourism and new touristic destinations across the globe. The event organized every year since 2015 would be effective to popularize Nepali culture and tourism.
