LALITPUR: The Bhoto Jatra festival of Rato Machhindranath, revered as the deity of rain and prosperity, has concluded in Lalitpur.

With the public display of the sacred bhoto (vest) during a special ceremony in Jawalakhel on Saturday, the chariot procession of Rato Machhindranath has also officially come to an end.

As the head of state, President Ram Chandra Paudel attended the ceremony to observe the bhoto.

On the occasion, President Paudel paid homage to Machhindranath and received prasad (sacred offerings).

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav and Prime Minister Balendra Shah, among other dignitaries, were also present at the event.
