CHITWAN: The election schedule for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) general convention has been revised and published for the fifth time.

According to the amended schedule, voting for the election of six office bearers in the second phase has been scheduled for Thursday night from 9:15 PM to 12:15 AM. The results of the vote will be announced at 1:30 AM.

Prior to that, the distribution of forms for office bearer positions is scheduled from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday evening. Similarly, the time for filing complaints and objections has been set for 8:00 PM.

According to the RSP statute, the party chairperson has the authority to nominate one senior leader, one vice-chairperson, one general secretary, two joint general secretaries, one spokesperson, three joint spokespersons, one treasurer, and two joint treasurers.

The party’s statute provisions a 151-member central committee.

Office bearers from the seven provinces will serve as ex-officio members.

Among the total central committee members, the chairperson has been given the authority to nominate 51 individuals.
