CHITWAN: The vital Muglin–Narayangadh road section, which was blocked this morning by a dry landslide, has fully reopened for traffic.

Both directions of the highway resumed operations after bulldozers successfully cleared the debris that had fallen at Jalbire.

According to the Road Division Office in Bharatpur, the previously blocked highway is now completely operational, allowing long lines of stranded vehicles and thousands of passengers to resume their journeys.

This latest disruption follows a string of closures along the critical transit artery over the past 24 hours.

Just yesterday morning, a dry landslide at Tuin Khola had completely choked off the highway.

Although authorities managed to clear that debris and briefly reopen the road by 11:15 AM—while warning drivers to remain highly vigilant—unstable terrain triggered the subsequent landslide at Jalbire, causing initial clearing delays before heavy equipment could arrive to clear the lanes once again.
