KATHMANDU: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal on Monday (July 6) directed the government to respond to contemporary issues raised by lawmakers in the House of Representatives, particularly concerns highlighted during emergency and zero-hour sessions.

He also instructed the government to brief Parliament on its preparedness for monsoon-related disasters, including measures to minimize casualties and property damage from floods, landslides, and inundation.

The ruling came amid repeated calls by lawmakers for greater government accountability on pressing national issues.
