KATHMANDU: Popular Nepali actress and film director Deepashree Niraula has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and has undergone a successful surgery. She was admitted to the Annapurna Neurological Hospital in Maitighar last Tuesday, where the procedure was conducted.

The update was shared by Deepak Raj Giri via social media that a medical team led by Dr. Basanta Panta performed the surgery.

According to the hospital, Niraula’s health condition is improving. Giri further informed that she has been moved from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a general ward and is expected to be discharged in a week.

Niraula, who has been active in the Nepali entertainment industry for decades, is widely recognized for her stellar acting skills and for directing several blockbuster movies.
