KATHMANDU: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav is departing for Qatar today at 3:30 PM.

He is embarking on a three-day official visit to Qatar to express condolences on behalf of the Government of Nepal over the passing of Qatar’s former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vice President is scheduled to hand over a condolence message sent by President Ram Chandra Paudel to the current Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday.

High-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal are accompanying Vice President Yadav on this trip.

He is scheduled to return home on July 16.
