The Nepali Congress has taken action against five people including leaders who have filed rebel candidacy against authorized candidates of the party and alliance.

The party took the action against Ram Kumar Rai of constituency President of Udayapur Constituency-2, who have filed rebel candidacy, his proposer Leelaraj Danuwar and supporter Min Kumar Dahal removing them from party general membership.

Coordinator of Disciplinary Committee, Ananda Prasad Dhungana, said Jay Prasad Subedi of Udayapur and his proposer Bharat Karki also faced action.

As per the Party’s statute, they were expelled from party’s general membership for five years, said Dhungana.
