NEPSE index drops four points with Rs 4 billion turnover

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by four points to close at 2,724.03 points. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index fell by four points to settle at 2,724.03 points.

The Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large companies, dropped by 0.53 points to close at 467.09 points.

A total of 9,856,525 shares of 342 companies were traded at a total value of Rs 4.341 billion. According to NEPSE, among the traded entities, the share prices of 91 companies increased, while the share prices of 167 companies declined.

Similarly, the stock prices of 13 companies remained unchanged. In terms of transaction volume, Central Finance secured the top position. Likewise, City Hotel, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company, Himal Dolakha Hydropower, and Reliance Spinning Mills managed to rank among the top five. Investors of Sopan Pharmaceuticals, Apollo Hydropower, Green Development Bank, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme, and Himal Dolakha Hydropower were the gainers.

On the other hand, investors of Kalinchowk Hydropower, SBL Debenture, Nepal SBI Bank Debenture, Saptakoshi Development Bank, and KBL Debenture lost the most.
