KAVREPALANCHOK: At least seven people were killed when a passenger bus crashed along the BP Highway in Kavrepalanchok district on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The bus (Ba 3 Kha 8398) was traveling from Banepa toward Sungure in Roshi Rural Municipality when it met with an accident near Buchakot at a section locally known as Selfie Danda.

Officials said the death toll may rise as several passengers sustained serious injuries. Rescue teams, along with local residents and security personnel, are currently conducting operations at the crash site.

Authorities are working to confirm the identities of the deceased and determine the cause of the accident.
