KANCHANPUR: Two men have been arrested in Kanchanpur on charges of rape, police confirmed on Wednesday.

According to the District Police Office Kanchanpur, the suspects have been identified as 47-year-old Naresh Giri of Ward 10 of Bhimdatta Municipality and 40-year-old Hira Nath of Ward 9 of the same municipality.

Police allege that the two men were involved in the rape of a woman. Both suspects were taken into custody on Wednesday following a preliminary investigation.

Authorities stated that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
