KATHMANDU: Minister of Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, with the two sides discussing bilateral ties, trade cooperation, and the safety of Nepali nationals in the Middle East.
During the call, the Saudi foreign minister congratulated Khanal on assuming office and expressed commitment to strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Khanal thanked the Saudi Arabian government for ensuring the safety and security of Nepali citizens amid ongoing regional tensions and reaffirmed Nepal’s solidarity with the kingdom.
The ministers also discussed expanding collaboration in trade, investment, and private sector engagement as Nepal and Saudi Arabia prepare to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations next year.
