PARBAT: Modi Rural Municipality in Parbat district has distributed smart boards to all community secondary schools in the area to make teaching and learning technology friendly.
A total of 52 smart boards were handed over to the secondary schools, according to Chief Administrative Officer Babu Ram Puri. The boards were procured and distributed at a cost of Rs 12.32 million, aligning with the rural municipality’s campaign to expand digital technology in classrooms under the slogan: “Strategy for Social and Economic Transformation, Holistic Access, and Quality Modern Technology-Driven Education.”
Dinesh Poudel, the Education Officer of the rural municipality, expressed confidence that the smart boards will make teaching styles more effective, increase student engagement, and contribute significantly to developing information and technology-oriented education.
Emphasizing that technology is the foundation of modern education, Rural Municipality Chairperson Hira Devi Sharma urged schools to maximize the use of these boards. Similarly, Vice Chairperson Bimal Lamichhane noted that the smart boards are a medium to transform the quality of education rather than just equipment, adding that this initiative will help rural students excel by providing them with modern, technology-driven learning tools.
