DHANKUTA: Continuous rainfall has flooded the Nawa Khola, completely blocking the Tamor Corridor along the Dhankuta-Panchthar border since 5:30 AM on Thursday.
The submerged roadway has halted all passenger and cargo vehicles, cutting off a vital fast track connecting Dharan, Dhankuta, Panchthar, and Taplejung.
Panchthar District Police Office reported that the high water level has made travel extremely risky.
Authorities have urged residents and drivers to stay highly alert, advising against non-essential travel in the region until rain stops and water levels recede enough to safely reassess the road.
