KAPILVASTU: Two men lost their lives late Saturday night after their motorcycle collided with a bus near Bimiha Chowk along the Taulihawa–Bhairahawa road section in Kapilvastu.

The victims, 30-year-old Ram Bahadur Chai and 28-year-old Sarju Chai of Yashodhara Rural Municipality-2, were riding an oncoming motorcycle when they were struck by a Bhairahawa-bound bus.

According to District Traffic Police, both critically injured men were rushed to Kapilvastu Hospital, where attending doctors declared them dead during treatment.

Police have taken the bus driver into custody and launched a formal investigation into the crash.
