MALANGAWA: Two laborers died on Wednesday evening after falling from the rooftop of a house in Malangawa, the district headquarters of Sarlahi.
The incident occurred while workers were plastering a concrete structure for placing a water tank on the rooftop of a four-story house owned by Ranjit Yadav of Malangawa Municipality-10.
The roof collapsed, causing the workers to fall to the ground. The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Chhotu Sah of Malangawa Municipality-2 and 40-year-old Rajkishor Yadav of Haripurwa Municipality-2.
According to Sarlahi District Police Office, both men lost consciousness after falling from the roof at around 4:45 pm. They were immediately rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa, where doctors declared them dead.
The bodies have been kept at the same hospital for post-mortem examination. Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
