KATHMANDU: A protest was held in Kathmandu on Tuesday demanding the resignation of Sudhan Gurung amid ongoing controversies.
A group of students staged the demonstration, accusing Gurung of having a business partnership with trader Deepak Bhatt and calling for his resignation.
During the protest, police detained four participants from in front of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ Office at Singha Durbar.
At the time of the protest, a Cabinet meeting was underway at the Prime Minister’s Office, where discussions were reportedly also taking place regarding the controversy surrounding the Home Minister.
