KATHMANDU: The deputy leader of the parliamentary party of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Ganesh Parajuli, has said that Nepal has expressed disagreement over the trade-related understanding reached between India and China concerning the Lipulekh region.

Speaking to journalists after a parliamentary party meeting on Wednesday, Parajuli said such a bilateral arrangement made without formally informing Nepal is unacceptable, especially on a sensitive border issue.

He informed that the government is taking the matter seriously and has already initiated diplomatic efforts, including sending diplomatic notes to the concerned countries.

Parajuli stressed that border disputes should be addressed through dialogue and diplomatic channels rather than reactive or provocative responses.

He added that the government is working toward resolving the issue through talks with necessary preparations in place.

He also noted that since diplomatic initiatives have already begun, it would be more appropriate to allow the process to move forward rather than making unnecessary political remarks.
