KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa and Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma met outgoing acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka at his residence in Golfutar, where discussions focused on easing internal differences and strengthening party unity.
The meeting, which lasted around one and a half hours, centered on resolving disputes within the party and exploring ways to move forward in a coordinated manner.
Leaders said efforts are underway to bring all factions together amid ongoing internal tensions.
Thapa has recently stepped up consultations with senior and dissatisfied leaders as part of broader attempts to bridge divides within the party.
On the same day, he also held discussions with senior leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala as part of the continuing dialogue process aimed at unity.
