KATHMANDU: The film ‘Laaj Sharam’ has successfully passed the censor board and has been granted a ‘Universal’ certificate.

This means the film is now approved for viewing by audiences of all ages. The total runtime of the film is 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 52 seconds, with some scenes edited to meet the board’s guidelines.

The film is scheduled to be released on Falgun 14. Previously, former minister Aftab Alam filed a lawsuit, claiming that his appearance resembled the role played by actor Sitaram Kattel in the film, produced under the banner of JPT Creation.

Following his case, the court had temporarily halted the film’s promotion until it received censor approval. With this hurdle cleared, the film, directed by Kumar Kattel, is now set for release.

The movie stars many of the actors from the popular TV series Sakkigoni, with Sitaram Kattel, Vijay Baral, Mahesh Tripathi, Mala Limbu, and others playing significant roles.
