NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released today’s foreign exchange rates, setting new benchmarks for various international currencies. As per the central bank, one US dollar is being bought at NPR 134.51 and sold at NPR 135.11.

The euro’s buying rate stands at NPR 152.66, while the selling rate is NPR 153.34. For the British pound sterling, the buying rate is NPR 179.15 and the selling rate is NPR 179.95. Similarly, the Swiss franc is being exchanged at NPR 163.47 for buying and NPR 164.20 for selling.

One Australian dollar is valued at NPR 86.28 for buying and NPR 87.67 for selling. The Canadian dollar’s rates are NPR 97.45 and NPR 97.88, while the Singapore dollar is trading at NPR 104.37 for buying and NPR 104.84 for selling.

According to the bank, the rate for 10 Japanese yen is NPR 9.35 on purchase and NPR 9.39 on sale. The Chinese yuan is priced at NPR 18.50 for buying and NPR 18.58 for selling. Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at NPR 35.87 and sold at NPR 36.03, and the Qatari riyal at NPR 36.90 for buying and NPR 37.07 for selling.

The Thai baht has been fixed at NPR 4.09 for buying and NPR 4.11 for selling. The UAE dirham is trading at NPR 36.62 and NPR 36.78, respectively. The Malaysian ringgit is valued at NPR 32.03 for buying and NPR 32.17 for selling.

In the East Asian market, 100 South Korean won are priced at NPR 9.82 for buying and NPR 9.87 for selling. The Swedish krona is exchanged at NPR 13.98 and NPR 14.04, while the Danish krona’s buying and selling rates are NPR 20.46 and NPR 20.55, respectively.

The Hong Kong dollar is being traded at NPR 17.36 on the buying side and NPR 17.43 on the selling side. The Kuwaiti dinar is listed at NPR 438.77 for buying and NPR 440.73 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is valued at NPR 356.77 and NPR 358.36, and the Omani rial is at NPR 349.38 and NPR 350.94.

Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling, according to the central bank.
