DEUKHURI: The Lumbini Province government on Monday presented a Rs 37.384 billion budget for fiscal year 2026/27, about Rs 1.525 billion lower than the Rs 38.91 billion budget introduced for the current fiscal year.
Presenting the budget in the Provincial Assembly, Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Dhanendra Karki allocated Rs 22.716 billion for capital expenditure and Rs 11.112 billion for recurrent expenditure. The remaining amount has been set aside under financial management, bringing the total budget to Rs 37.384 billion.
The province government said the budget prioritizes infrastructure development, agriculture, education, health, employment generation, and the expansion of economic production.
