NEPSE rises by 1.03 points to stand at 2,611.13

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a general improvement. The NEPSE index rose by 1.03 points today to stand at 2,611.43.

According to the NEPSE, 25,42,764 shares of 318 companies were bought and sold 80,054 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs 8.74 billion 7668,846.

In today’s trading, the hydropower group increased by 1.40, life insurance by 0.13, production and processing by 0.29, non-life insurance group by 0.57 and trade group by 2.03 percent, while all other group sub-indices decreased. Banking by 0.35, development bank by 0.50, finance by 1.28, hotel and tourism by 0.33 and investment group by 0.41 percent.

Similarly, microfinance decreased by 0.30 percent, mutual funds by 0.13 percent and business groups by 1.58 percent.

Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited’s share price has entered a positive circuit, while Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited’s share price has entered a negative circuit. Based on the transaction amount, Sanima Hydropower Limited’s shares worth Rs 928.962 million were traded the most today. Based on the number of shares traded, Ngadi Group Power Limited’s shares worth 1.747 million were traded.
