KATHMANDU: Following India’s aerial strike action against Pakistan, Operation Sindoor, there have been numerous attempts being made to get the name registered as a trademark. Indian companies on Wednesday morning carried out airstrikes on nine locations in Pakistan.
This moved Indian companies into competition with themselves in order to trademark the word Operation Sindoor with the intentions of making web series and movies out of the operation. According to Indian media reports, at least four trademark applications have been filed so far.
As reported by the Indian news portal The Print, the trademark applications have been submitted under Class 41 of the NICE Classification, which relates to educational, entertainment, sports, and cultural activities.
According to India’s Patent, Design, and Trademark Office, Reliance Industries was the first to file an application to trademark the name Operation Sindoor.
