KATHMANDU: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is in the spotlight now for his upcoming movie Sitare Zameen Par. Meanwhile, Aamir came out with some interesting comments on his dream venture Mahabharata in an interview recently. He has been talking about the project for several years and explained that it was very close to his heart.
“Making the Mahabharata is my dream, but it’s very difficult,” Aamir said, as reported by News18.com. Earlier this month, he confirmed that Mahabharata would be a large-scale film franchise, with different directors working on different parts of the project. When asked which character he would like to portray, he said he is particularly fond of the character of Krishna and finds a lot of inspiration in him.
Although he didn’t want to reveal much at this stage, Aamir acknowledged that it is an enormous project. He emphasized that the right actors would be selected for each role. “We will see which actor fits which character,” he said. He also clarified that he would not be directing the film himself. According to him, the story of Mahabharata is too vast to be told in a single film and would require multiple parts, as well as several directors.
Aamir Khan will soon be seen in Sitare Zameen Par, which is a sequel to his earlier film Taare Zameen Par. He recently released the poster for Sitare Zameen Par and announced that the film will hit theaters on June 20.
