KATHMANDU: As climate concerns intensify globally, Nepal is hosting Sagarmatha Sambaad, a high-level dialogue aimed at addressing environmental threats facing mountainous and island nations.
Scheduled from May 16 to 18 in Kathmandu, the event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, according to Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana.
With participation from 175 international delegates and 350 attendees overall, the forum features 12 thematic sessions on issues like limiting global warming, climate justice, and mountain resilience.
The dialogue also includes key speakers from China, India, and COP29 host Azerbaijan. Inspired by global summits like Davos and Raisina, this initiative strives to foster stronger climate collaboration and action worldwide.
