Funeral procession held for Gen Z movement victims (In Pictures)

KATHMANDU: A funeral procession was held on Tuesday for those who died during the Gen Z movement. The procession, which began in Maharajgunj, proceeded to Pashupati, where the victims were cremated with national honors.

According to the official reports, at least 72 people died as a result of the movement. The government has declared all of the deceased to be martyrs.

Minister Kulman Ghising of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal both participated in the funeral.

Originally scheduled for yesterday, the event was postponed and held today.
