KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, ‘Prachanda,’ has stressed that the upcoming elections must be held on schedule to strengthen democracy and prevent instability.
He warned that conspiracies against the interim government are underway and planned efforts may try to delay elections.
Acknowledging past shortcomings, he said the party is correcting its leadership and pledged to meet public expectations.
Prachanda also emphasized that any deviation from the constitution or democratic principles would push the country toward crisis and called on democratic forces to remain vigilant.
