KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal visited the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Friday morning.
During his visit, Aryal instructed the bureau to reopen and investigate cases that had been previously stalled due to political pressure.
“If there are any cases that were stopped, make a breakthrough,” Aryal told CIB officials.
He emphasized that the government has initiated work to ensure good governance and stressed the need for joint efforts.
“The ministry will provide the necessary support, and the CIB must work in line with the ministry’s spirit,” he said.
CIB Chief Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Manoj Kumar KC assured that the bureau would begin investigations if such cases exist, adding that the CIB is ready to work with high morale.
During the visit, the CIB also presented to the Home Minister details about its work, problems, and challenges.
