KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu has urged residents and travelers to exercise caution as heavy rainfall is expected from October 3 to 6 (Ashoj 17–20), raising the risk of floods, landslides, and soil erosion in vulnerable areas.

In a public notice, the DAO requested people to avoid long-distance travel during this period unless absolutely necessary. It has also appealed to those entering or leaving Kathmandu not to travel at night, citing heightened risks of disaster-related incidents.

The administration has further provided emergency contact numbers for immediate rescue, assistance, and relief in case of disaster.
