KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) has instructed all levels of its party structure to coordinate with election offices and actively participate in the ongoing voter registration and update process.

In a circular issued Wednesday, General convention Organising Committee Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal directed party cadres to ensure the inclusion of citizens who will turn 16 by Kartik 30, update voter details in cases of marriage or relocation, and correct any errors in names, dates of birth, or other personal information.

The circular emphasized that updating the voter list is “the first step in democratic practice” and called on all party ranks to undertake the task seriously, providing necessary coordination and facilitation. The campaign is to be carried out in alignment with the Election Commission’s ongoing voter list update program.

Coordinator Dahal highlighted that the initiative is also an opportunity to strengthen party organization and expand outreach to the public.
