KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has expressed concern over what he calls a major threat to national sovereignty.

Speaking at a discussion with editors, Prachanda said, “Such interference in our national sovereignty has never happened before. The challenge to sovereignty now is unprecedented.”

He added that hearing his past speeches makes him feel as if he were predicting events, stating, “It feels like an astrologer speaking. Whatever I said has come true.”

He also voiced frustration over narratives portraying the leaders of the three main parties as being the same.

Prachanda had previously warned of potential uprisings, citing growing public dissatisfaction, including citizens possibly surrounding Singha Durbar and Baluwatar.

He further noted that the political crisis in the country remains unresolved.
