KATHMANDU: The shooting for the film Lali Bazaar has officially commenced.

The project began its principal photography by holding an auspicious ceremony in Rajapur, Bardiya on Wednesday.

The production is being directed by Yam Thapa.

The movie has a 35-day shooting schedule and stars actress Swastima Khadka in the lead role.

The feature is being produced by Shatkon Arts, a production company established through the popular Jatra movie series.

Yam Thapa is also the writer of Lali Bazaar. Rabindra Singh Baniya and Max Dipesh Khatri are the producers, with director Pradip Bhattarai serving as the executive producer.

The project, which carries the tag line ‘Yahaan Kathasangai byatha hajar’ (Here, with the stories, are a thousand sorrows), is scheduled to be released on February 13, 2026.
