KATHMANDU: On the second trading day of the week (Monday), the stock market showed some gains, but the NEPSE index increased by only 9.78 points, a rise of 0.38%, closing at 2,250.36 points.

Today, 335 companies were traded 61,635 times, with a total of 8,893,778 shares changing hands. The total turnover amounted to Rs 394.6074 crore.

Among the sectoral indices, only the Non-Life Insurance Group and Other Groups saw declines, while the remaining 11 sectors closed in the green.

Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited hit the positive circuit limit, while Bhugol Energy Development Limited shares dropped by 9.99%.

The highest turnover of the day was recorded by Sahas Urja Limited, with shares worth Rs 18.360941 crore traded. Its closing price was Rs 679 per share.
