Party unity imperative: Leader Koirala

KATHMANDU: A Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said he was committed to taking the party ahead by keeping it intact.

During a meeting with party office bearers, district committees and legal experts close to him today, Koirala mentioned that he was holding continuous discussions and meetings with all sides concerned to protect party from splitting. “I am insisting with party president, acting president and general-secretaries that I prevent the party from splitting,” he argued.

Vice President Dhan Raj Gurung, Joint General Secretaries Badri Pandey and Jeevan Pariyar, central members Bal Bahadur KC, Dr Minendra Rijal, senior advocates Sher Bahadur KC, Yogendra Adhikari and Upendra Keshari Neupane, among others were present in the meeting.
