KATHMAMDU: Sloganeering has erupted at the venue of the Nepali Congress Special General Convention following disciplinary action taken against General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, and Joint General Secretary Farmullah Mansoor.

Demonstrations are underway at the special convention venue against party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Earlier on Wednesday, a meeting of the party’s Central Committee decided to expel General Secretaries Thapa and Sharma, along with Joint General Secretary Mansoor, from party membership for a period of five years.
