KATHMANDU: Nepal suffered a narrow two-run defeat against the Netherlands in their second match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 141, Nepal reached 138 for seven in 20 overs. Earlier, the Netherlands scored 140 for five, led by Captain Babette de Leede’s 49 and Sterre Kalis’s 30.

For Nepal, Rubina Chhetry and Sita Rana Magar remained unbeaten with 37 and 27 runs, respectively.

While the Netherlands advanced to the Super Six with this victory, Nepal faces a difficult path following earlier losses to Thailand and Ireland.
