KATHMANDU: The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) under the National Examination Board (NEB) has stated that all question papers and documents necessary for regulating grade 10 exams (SEE) will be delivered to all 77 districts by 28 March.
Tukaraj Adhikari, the Examination Controller, has stated that the work of printing the question papers has been completed and is now in the final stage of being sent to the districts.
“Question papers for some districts including Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga and Mustang are yet to be sent.” He added, “Finally, preparations are underway to send the question papers for Mustang on March 27, and at the latest, all necessary documents will reach all districts by March 28.”
Question papers to be sent to all the districts are kept safe at the District Police Office. From there, the heads of the examination centers deliver the question papers to the examination centers.
According to the NEB, approximately 0.509 million students from across the country are participating in the regular and grade-improvement SEE examinations for this academic session (2082 BS). A total of 1,961 examination centers have been designated for conducting the exams.
The OEC says that orientation has been conducted for examination center heads in all the districts, question papers and answer sheets have been transported, and examination center expenses have been managed.
To conduct and complete the examinations in a peaceful and orderly environment, the District Security Committee, coordinated by the Chief District Officer in all districts, will mobilize the police.
The SEE examination schedule has already been published. According to the decision made by the NEB’s meeting on December 22 last year, the examinations will be conducted from the upcoming April 2 to April 12. The examination time will be from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
