KATHMANDU: Members of the Dalit community staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala against incidents of caste-based discrimination reported in various parts of the country.

The demonstration, jointly organized by the United Political Dalit Struggle Committee and Dalit civil society, featured participants carrying placards demanding action against those responsible for recent discrimination cases in Sindhuli, Rolpa, and Pokhara.

Daljit Sripali, coordinator of the struggle committee, emphasized the need for an investigation into the death of Krishna BK, who was arrested on March 17 from Satdobato, Lalitpur, and later died while in custody at the Khurkot Area Police Office.
