Chiranjibi Pokharel appointed NTNC member secretary

KATHMANDU: Dr Chiranjibi Prasad Pokharel has been appointed member secretary of the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC).

Minister for Forests and Environment and Trust Chairperson Gita Chaudhary appointed Pokharel to the post on Tuesday, with the appointment remaining effective until further notice.

Currently serving as Senior Director at the Trust, Pokharel is a wildlife biologist and conservation planner known for his work in tiger conservation. He has more than 27 years of experience in the conservation sector.

Following his appointment, Pokharel said he remains committed to the Trust’s objectives, vision, and values and pledged to strengthen its efforts in nature conservation.
