KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has unanimously endorsed the name of Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma for the post of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The endorsement came after the parliamentary hearing of Sharma, who was recommended by the Constitutional Council for the top judicial position.

Following the approval, Sharma is set to receive his official appointment and take the oath of office on Tuesday itself.

From Wednesday onward, the newly appointed Chief Justice will begin assigning daily benches and court hearings.
