KATHMANDU: Power supply will be shut down for three and a half hours daily across various areas of Kathmandu for three days.
According to a notice issued by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), the power cut is required to replace the old wires of the 132 kV transmission line running from the Syuchatar substation to the Matatirtha substation.
The NEA informed that power supply will be interrupted from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM in areas covered by the Thankot and Satungal feeders under the Kuleshwor Distribution Center.
Under the Thankot feeder, the affected areas include the vicinity of the Chandragiri Municipality Ward No. 14 office, Balkumari Temple, Armed Police Force office, CG, Old Naikap, Balambu, Chundevi, Khahare, Dahachowk, Dhungedhara, Bright Future, Baichhap, Yatayat, Daura Depot, High Vision Colony, Pashu Bikash, and Shrijana Chowk.
Similarly, power supply will be cut off under the Satungal feeder in areas around Dhaulagiri Gate, Sinchaphant, and Shiva Mandir.
The Authority added that the currently scheduled timings may be adjusted in the event of adverse weather conditions.
