KATHMANDU: A 29-year-old youth has died after being bitten by a snake in Kailali’s Kailari Rural Municipality.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, Hemant Chaudhary of Kailari Rural Municipality-5, Jabadhawa, was bitten by a snake on Sunday at around 9:10 PM while working in his field.

Following the snakebite, he was rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi that same night for treatment, where he passed away at around 10:40 PM during treatment, as informed by Police Inspector Kailash Singh Bisht, the acting information officer of the District Police Office.

Police stated that the deceased’s body has been handed over to the family after completing necessary legal procedures.
