PARBAT: Local authorities in Parbat delivered a citizenship certificate to a 24-year-old woman with a severe disability at her home after she was unable to travel to the district headquarters to complete the process.

Officials, led by Chief District Officer Laxmi Prasad Poudel, visited the residence of Sunita BK in Jaljala Rural Municipality-4 and handed over the certificate on Sunday.

According to the administration, the home-based service was provided to ensure that citizens with serious physical limitations are not deprived of essential government documents. The certificate will now enable Sunita to access social security allowances and other state benefits more easily.

Her family said she has been bedridden since infancy due to complications from polio and requires round-the-clock care.
