KATHMANDU: A mild earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck Humla district on Sunday afternoon.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the tremor was recorded at 2:32 pm, with its epicenter located around the Srinagar area.
Authorities have not received any immediate reports of casualties or property damage. The tremor was felt in nearby settlements, though detailed information from remote parts of the district is still being collected.
Nepal lies in a highly seismic zone, and minor to moderate earthquakes are frequently recorded due to ongoing tectonic activity in the Himalayan region.
