KATHMANDU: The CT scan service at Civil Service Hospital in New Baneshwor has remained non-operational for the past six months after the machine broke down and was not repaired.

According to Acting Executive Director Dr. Rabi Prakash Sharma, the breakdown has significantly affected patient services, forcing the hospital to refer patients to other health facilities for CT scan examinations.

He said the prolonged disruption has created major difficulties for patients visiting the hospital, which handles more than 600 patients daily for various treatments and consultations.

Despite the extended shutdown, the hospital has not yet announced a clear timeline for repairing or replacing the faulty machine, leaving patients to continue facing inconvenience.
