KAILALI: The District Police Office (DPO), Kailali, has arrested 10 individuals from various locations in the district for their involvement in illegal drug trafficking.

According to a press release issued by the DPO Kailali, a joint team consisting of personnel from the district office, its subordinate units, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) branch made the arrests on Tuesday, June 23.

The police team successfully confiscated 40 grams and 590 milligrams of the illicit drug, brown heroin, during the coordinated operation.

Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yogendra Timilsina stated that all 10 suspects have been taken into custody.

The police have launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover further details regarding the smuggling network.
