KATHMANDU: The monsoon system is actively expanding across Nepal, currently influencing the entirety of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, as well as parts of Gandaki and the eastern region of Lumbini province.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon is expected to spread across the remaining parts of the country within the next four to five days.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is predicted over various hilly, mountainous, and plains regions, with a specific warning issued for heavy rainfall in parts of Koshi province.
Conversely, a heatwave warning remains in place for certain lowland areas of the Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, prompting authorities to urge necessary precautions against both severe weather risks and extreme heat.
