KATHMANDU: Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Khadak Raj Paudel stated that the government is currently not in a position to make immediate financial investments in Nepal’s aviation sector.

Speaking at an interaction on aviation stability and safety on Monday, he emphasized that while the nation’s economic progress and tourism growth rely heavily on a strong aviation industry, the government must focus on collaborative discussions rather than direct funding.

He also noted that efforts are underway to meet policy, legal, and safety standards to lift the European Union’s airspace ban on Nepali airlines.
