SURKHET: A passenger vehicle (Karnali Province 02-001 Kha 1055) heading from Surkhet to Kalikot plunged roughly 400 meters off the road into the Karnali River on Thursday.

The accident occurred along the Karnali Highway at Sangetada in Chamundabindrasaini Municipality-7, Dailekh.

According to DSP Shrawan Kumar BK, head of the District Police Office in Dailekh, a rescue team has arrived at the scene.

The exact number of passengers on board and casualties remain unknown as further details are awaited.
